She has issues with personal space, forcing you to give her hugs without actually asking. She would say "I hope you like hugs, because I'm a hugger" but then hug you without waiting for your answer.  She did this at every session and I was not the type of person to say "no" back then.  People who have been through trauma are used to having their personal boundaries crossed have issues with saying "no", so no therapist should EVER hug their patients unless the patient asks for a hug. It's inappropriate. She also told me "the best therapists say nothing". Which is what she did.  Even though I told her I hate when therapists say nothing.  When she did speak, it was tell me all about her life instead of talking about mine.
