Linda Nguyen, MS, LMFT | Resilience Counseling Rockford

 ★★ (out of five)

She's very nice. But she's WAY too timid to be a therapist. You speak, she repeats what you say, and that's it. There's no actual therapy involved. Both my husband and I had her at different times, and both of us thought it was awful. Repeating what someone says is not therapy. I really don't understand why people get into a business they're clearly not made for. I had another counselor like her once, and I've come to realize that shy people do not make good therapists. She never asked questions or made any other comment other than repeating what you say. It's like she has no idea what to say, so she repeats, like a parrot. It's very annoying and not helpful at all.  Therapists should have empathy and be able to understand and relate to their clients.  I am not sure Linda knows how to do that.  Or if she does, she's too timid to be able to show it.

I give her two out of five stars and a C- grade as a therapist (she's not bad, just not good).
