★ (out of five stars)

I had the worst panic attack I've ever had with any therapist upon our first meeting.  Now I have anxiety, and have panic attacks when I do new things, but nothing like this.  This was baaaaad.  I almost thought I was going to have to get up and walk out.  But I used my coping skills to calm myself down and got through the session.  I found her to be dismissive of my life experiences.  For one, she acted like I didn't have OCD or agoraphobia unless I was diagnosed by a clinician, which is absurd.  I am almost 50 and I've been dealing with my issues since birth (longer than she's been alive) and I am very well educated on my own mental health.  But she dismissed all that in an instant, and acted like I just read something and thought it applied to me LOL  He demeanor and actions made me leave her office knowing I'd never be back.  And I almost didn't go back to therapy at all, but my previous therapist let me come back to him, and boy did I regret that, too (see Patrick Oriedo).
